Southwest Slaw

This creamy crunchy slaw is colorful and flavorful! Jazz up tacos or serve as a side with an Issachar inspired meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of purple cabbage, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup of chopped cilantro

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced

  • 1/2 of ripe avocado

  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream

  • Juice from 1/2 lime

  • 1 teaspoon of honey

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin

  • 1 teaspoon of white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon of Badia Complete seasoning

Directions

  • Add cabbage, cilantro, and diced bell pepper to a medium size dish.
  • In a separate bowl make the dressing by mixing the avocado, mayo, sour cream, lime juice, honey, Badia Complete, vinegar, and cumin. Use a blender to combine the ingredients for a silky smooth texture.
  • Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and coat.
  • Set in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes for flavors to set.

I recently used this dish to top Surf n Turf tacos I made, which were a hit with my crew. Take a look at that recipe here.
