JuJu’s Lamb Burger

We Jews LOVE our lamb on Passover, but this lamb burger will make you say “Pass the lamb Over” as often as possible! Full of flavor, juicy and delicious, this burger is perfect for the grill. You can also pan fry, bake, or use a grill pan to prepare these burgers in cooler months. This recipe makes four nice size burgers.

  • 1.5 lbs ground lamb

  • 2 teaspoons of tumeric

  • 1 teaspoon of ground chicken bullion

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon dried cilantro

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion

  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon dried mint

  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger

  • 2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt

  • 2 tablespoons of feta cheese, crumbled into small pieces

  • 1.5 tablespoon avocado or olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Add ground lamb to a medium sized mix bowl.
  • Add all ingredients on top of the ground lamb and mix thoroughly. Be sure not to over mix the meat, where it becomes tough.
  • Form into patties by sectioning meat out, rolling each section into a ball, and pressing flat.
  • Cook patties through until well done. Approximately 7-8 minutes per side. This depends on how hot you grill or pan is, so be sure to check often enough that the meat doesn’t burn.

Top this burger with your favorite condiment and enjoy. The last time I made these for my family, we added mayo and enjoyed. I’m working on a couple of sauces that would be perfect on this burger. I will update this post when they are perfected :). Let me know what you think!
