Grapefruit Lemonade Unleavened Bread

This bread is the perfect balance of tart and sweet. With hints of fresh fruit throughout, this bread/dessert is super moist and yummy! Enjoy!


  • 2 small eggs

  • 1 stick butter

  • A long splash of vanilla extract (2 tablespoons or more :))

  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract

  • 1 cup grapefruit juice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups pure cane sugar

  • Lemon slices


  • Soften the butter and add to a bowl.
  • Add eggs and whisk together.
  • Add vanilla and lemon extracts and stir to mix.
  • Add grapefruit juice and honey and stir to mix.
  • In a separate bowl add flour and sugar, and mix well together.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir until fully mixed.
  • Prepare a small bread dish with light coat of veggie oil of choice.
  • Add bread mixture and tap on flat surface to make flat.
  • Lightly place lemon slices on top to decorate.
  • Bake on 375 for about 35 minutes or until bread becomes golden brown around the edges and the middle is done. Enjoy!
